Flood preparedness

2011 Floodplain Mailer
Flooding can happen during intense rainfalls, but typically occurs after several days of heavy rain that saturates the ground. It can strike quickly with little or no warning. While the water district’s many reservoirs provide some buffer between rainfall and creekflow, most creeks do not have a reservoir and water levels rise quickly during intense rainstorms.

Water conservation

Water Use Efficiency Strategic Plan - Phase I
The Water Use Efficiency Strategic Plan is intended to provide a blueprint for meeting policy objectives and targets. Its purpose is to evaluate and recommend WUE measures for meeting District policy objectives and targets for water conservation, water recycling, and desalination. Phase 1 has been completed and focused primarily on water conservation.
