The Creek Connections Action Group (CCAG) was formed in San José, California, in the fall of 1995 by several local agency coordinators whose shared goal is to engage volunteers in preserving and protecting the waterways and to collaborate their creek cleanup efforts in Santa Clara County.

CCAG is an action-oriented partnership made up of local government, non-profit and environmental organizations. Since the group's inception, thousands of volunteers have participated in hundreds of cleanups, removing thousands of pounds of trash each year from creeks, rivers, and reservoirs in Santa Clara County that would otherwise make its way to San Francisco or Monterey bays. This partnership builds upon existing volunteer programs, combining resources to sponsor county-wide events.

CCAG coordinates two clean up days each year in Santa Clara County. National River Cleanup in May and Coastal Cleanup in September.
