A lifelong resident of Santa Clara County, Director Cy Mann brings to the Board experience in ranching, business and real estate. His ranching background gives him a strong appreciation for water supply issues in the county, and his experience as a realtor proves valuable in understanding land acquisition and property rights issues. Additionally, his years as a small businessman have allowed him experience in budgets and effective management.
As a result of his concern for water and land stewardship,
Director Mann has served as Chair on the District’s Coyote
Flood Control and Watershed Advisory Committee as well
as on the Environmental Advisory Committee. Director Mann
brings a clear understanding of governance policies and
processes, which allows him to contribute immediately to the 
District’s ongoing work.
Director Mann also serves on the Santa Clara County
Association of Realtors Government Relations Committee
and as a member of the Santa Clara County Farm Bureau
and the California Cattlemen’s Association. As a community
leader supportive of youth and future opportunities, Director
Mann is especially sensitive to the District’s ability to ensure
protection of the Valley’s environment, watershed and open
space resources.
Director Mann is also a firm believer in addressing community
concerns and a strong advocate of community involvement on
issues concerning our Valley and, so, welcomes your feedback.
